Privacy Policy

Summary in plain English

PDFs are extracted in your browser. Only the extracted text is sent to our server for analysis. That text is passed to an AI model, the response is returned to you, and both are discarded from persistent storage. We do not save your contracts. We do not sell your data. We do not require an account to run a scan.

What we collect

Contract text you submit for analysis. Held in memory only for the duration of the request. Not written to disk. Not retained after the response is returned.

Anonymous request metadata. Contract type, state selection, and timestamp — used to improve our pattern library and to detect abuse. Not tied to your identity.

Email addresses you voluntarily provide — for example, when requesting an attorney referral or contacting sales. Used only to respond to your request.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your name, phone number, physical address, financial information, or persistent identifiers unless you explicitly provide them. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising. We don't sell any data to third parties.

Third parties

Contract text is transmitted to Anthropic (our AI model provider) for the duration of the analysis. Anthropic's data-handling terms prohibit using API-submitted content for model training. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that transmission.

Your rights

Because we don't retain your contract text or personal information, there is generally nothing for us to delete on request. If you have provided your email address to us in correspondence, you may request deletion by emailing support@contractscans.com.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and post a notice on this page. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
